Time Flies

Wow, Time Flies! isn't it?

Seconds, minutes, hours, days, months and years are passing by and I wonder how I could stop the time.

Maybe if we learn the time, days and seasons in English, or perhaps not. Well, anyway if you're interested in measuring the time, here's a good video to watch:

For more info and practice about the time, please feel free to have a look at the presentation below.

Hobbies, pastimes and sports

With this post, we will learn how to talk, listen, read and write about different free time activities, sports and hobbies.
We're also going to ask about likes and dislikes. At the same time, we'll spend some time expressing our own likes and preferences.

The Environment

Do you find reading newspapers difficult?

Is your English good enough for that?

Maybe you like reading about the Environment and now it's time for you to learn more about this issue. Why don't try to get more info in English?

First of all, you should study some basic words related to this topic. Then, have a look at the presentation below, which deals with the Environment through vocabulary activities, listening, reading and writing. You'll even find an example of a good composition on the same field: The Environment.

For more reading, please go to our Reading  section on this blog, just on the right-hand side.

To conclude with this post, I'd like to encourage you to enjoy your English learning, simply like when you are having a coffee and reading the newspaper in the morning. What a relaxing day!

Word-building or Word-formation

Basically, we could start off by studying some basic word-formation suffixes and prefixes, which will help you to guess the meaning and grammar of English words.

So, here's your WORD-FORMATION theory and practice to do your best at school. Remember that there are not magical RULES for word-formation, and it's only a question of practice and loads of English exposure.

Let's put it this way...it's time for more words... - no matter your level of English.

Learning a language is like building a house. We need plenty of bricks to be able construct a venue with well-laid foundations and suitable enough for our living expectations: good sights, full of light, and comfortable for our family. By the same token, to produce a fluent speech, it’s necessary to manage a whole array of words, which must be assimilated, practised and used regularly, rather than only translated into the target language. Word-building takes time and what’s even more important: suffixes and prefixes must be recognized; otherwise you won’t make the most of your word-building. For further word-formation practice, you’d better click on words, words, words.
